Flexible transport system for maximum efficiency

ACOPOStrak is a modular transport system based on a long-stator linear motor that enables flexible and precise movement of individual shuttles within production lines. Shuttles can move independently, be grouped or synchronized – with built-in collision avoidance and seamless process integration across multiple stations.

High-speed diverters allow product flows to merge and split without any loss of speed. The fully enclosed design (IP69K) makes it suitable for even the most demanding environments. With intuitive visual programming and comprehensive simulation, the entire system layout can be developed and tested in advance on a PC – eliminating the need for hardware testing and significantly speeding up commissioning. ACOPOStrak is compatible with the entire motion and mechatronics portfolio from B&R and is especially well suited for applications involving a wide variety of products.

Integrated collision avoidance

Collision avoidance is automatically handled by the control system – even with products of varying sizes and payloads. Product dimensions are configured in the software or measured by sensors. Based on this data, each shuttle is controlled automatically to prevent collisions.

Flexible layouts and materials

Custom layouts make it possible to reach every point in the grid while maximizing space efficiency, including through the use of vertical and inclined segments. The rail and shuttle material options allow tailored configurations to meet specific requirements for wear resistance, protection class and cost.

Global service

Application support for layout, design and commissioning, plus a global B&R service network for support, training and spare parts.

Predictive maintenance

ACOPOStrak Monitor delivers real-time sensor data, AI-powered condition forecasts and monitors shuttle encoders – for early, accurate diagnostics and scheduled maintenance.

Process-oriented graphical control means I only define the processes, and the shuttle flow between them runs automatically – regardless of the number of shuttles and across the entire sequence with hundreds of segments.

ACOPOStrak shuttles

The shuttles enable low-friction transport and precise product positioning, with or without diverter functionality. Each shuttle is held in place by permanent magnets and can be mounted or removed quickly and easily: The operator places the wheels on the guide rail and the shuttle is instantly secured by magnetic force. With dedicated track segments for changeover and service, replacements are even more efficient – with zero downtime, during live operation.

ACOPOStrak segments

The flexible ACOPOStrak transport system gives you complete freedom: Combine track segments in any way that fits your machine or production line. You can create virtually any open or closed layout based on a grid structure. The orientation of the plane is entirely up to you, allowing optimal adaptation to your process requirements.

At the heart of the track system is a linear motor made up of four modular elements: a straight segment, a 45° segment and two 22.5° segments, each available in a left and right bend. Thanks to its modular and flexible design, ACOPOStrak enables compact and highly efficient machine layouts. Simply design your machine to match your process requirements.

Software

The three software products ACOPOStrak Designer, mapp Trak and ACOPOStrak Monitor support ACOPOStrak system throughout its entire lifecycle – from the initial concept idea to maintenance. They work seamlessly together to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.

With ACOPOStrak Designer, planning and testing the intelligent ACOPOStrak track system becomes dramatically easier compared to traditional machine programming. A graphical user interface lets you configure virtual layouts with ACOPOStrak elements in 3D. Process flows, individual shuttles andcountless other parameters can be thoroughly tested and analyzed using a single tool. Programming effort is eliminated, energy consumption is optimized and throughput is increased – for predictable ROI and OEE.
